According to Rehman, considering the ongoing cold wave, holidays have been declared and the atmosphere at NIT is currently calm.

Each day that goes by, the cold becomes worse. So, he added, we announced vacations.

The climate had now become favorable, according to the top NIT official, and students were gradually departing for their homes.

Rehman said that only one paper test was conducted in regards to the current exams.

“February is when we’ll administer the remaining tests,” he said.

A video that an engineering student posted hurting religious sensibilities went viral, sparking a student confrontation that lasted for two days on the NIT campus.

Currently studying at NIT, Srinagar, are over 3000 students from all regions of the nation.

The NIT gave orders to all students on Thursday morning to leave their hostels right away.

The fact that the NIT mess service would not be operating starting on Friday afternoon was also communicated to the students.
