The national association for Indian adventure tour operators is called the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI). ATOAI was established in 1994 by a group of travel trade adventurers who wanted to make adventure one of India’s top tourist attractions while also serving as a strong support network for individual and group profit.

In association with Gujarat Tourism, the recently finished conference, “Indian Adventure Travel: Exploring New Frontiers,” took place at Praveg Tent City, Narmada, next to the Statue of Unity. The primary goal of the conference, which drew prominent travel companies, government officials, and forward-thinking professionals from all throughout India’s travel and tourism sector, was to position India as the hub of the world’s adventure tourism industry. The convention’s annual goal is to strengthen the collective power of adventure tourism companies by bridging the gap that exists between small-scale operators and these companies.
