Yesterday in Bhubaneswar, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education, congratulated the newly hired faculty members and asked them to fully embrace the National Education Policy (NEP).
NEP is a way of thinking. Following his remarks at the opening of the Virtual and Augmented Reality Centre of Excellence at IIT Bhubaneswar, Pradhan took to Twitter to urge his followers to “embrace and implement in letter and spirit” the vision of a contemporary, culturally rooted, and developed India.
“This CoE will accelerate digital transformation across disciplines, invigorate application-driven research, and boost entrepreneurship,” Pradhan stated during the opening of the Virtual and Augmented Reality Centre of Excellence at IIT Bhubaneswar.
He also tweeted, “Always a learning experience coming to our IITs,” after reviewing the curriculum at several Odisha universities. It renews our vigour and enthusiasm for learning and never ceases to inspire us. Advised the @iitbbs clan to go on a tree-planting binge to make the school more environmentally friendly.
Pradhan, who spoke at the event, extended his congratulations to the newly hired faculty members and expressed his delight at joining the academic community at IIT Bhubaneswar. In accordance with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP), Pradhan urged them to instill social responsibility in young minds and to also train them to become global citizens.
