Thane: Mangal Prabhat Lodha, a BJP leader and minister of tourism, skill development, and entrepreneurship, announced that the state government would establish skill development centres in local community centres and industrial hubs in an effort to empower and upgrade employees and commercial units with advancements in their respective fields.According to Lodha’s comments to the media, the state administration would soon establish skill development facilities in local companies and community centres. Lodha said that this would help both job seekers and businesses by facilitating the acquisition of new, industry-specific skills. In addition to launching the Sagarmala programme, which would enable the development of ports and the launch of full-fledged passenger transit from there, the minister promised a range of developmental works for the Thane area. Planning is also underway to improve an already bustling tourist destination. He also said that the new Thane train station will be under construction very soon.
