Reasi, Nov. 10: The Public Safety Act (PSA) was imposed today on infamous cattle smuggler Mohammad Azam of the hamlet Kothian Tehsil Pouni District Reasi by District Magistrate Reasi Vishesh Paul Mahajan.
He was found guilty by the courts in many FIRs filed at several police stations, including Sunderbani, Akhnoor, and Pouni, according to a press release. In the district, his persistent illegal activities of smuggling cattle were seen as a danger to peace and public order.
Anyone discovered to be interfering with public order and serenity will face severe legal consequences, as District Magistrate Reasi has emphasized. When it comes to the antisocial elements engaged in drug trafficking, illegal mining, and the smuggling of cows, etc., there will be neither mercy nor tolerance.
