Jammu: BJP Rajya Sabha member Engineer Gulam Ali Khatana advised the young to put in significant effort to pursue both ‘Deeni Taleem’ (religious education) and contemporary education, stressing the importance of both.

He said that the motto of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “Ek Haath Mein Quran, Ek Haath Mein Computer,” was intended to improve the lot of the Muslim community, particularly the oppressed and disadvantaged sections who had not benefited during the previous 70 years.

Speaking to a crowd commemorating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Madarassa Markaz Al-Marif in Bhatindi, Khatana said that Prime Minister Modi had changed the way people thought about Gandhi’s principles and had converted his aspirations into reality. When the whole country is inspired to clean up the environment in response to Prime Minister Modi’s request, October 2 is now a real homage to Mahatma Gandhi in the shape of “Swachhanjali,” he remarked.

Principal Master Rashid, Master Saleem, Maqbool Naib Sarpanch, Bashir Ahmed, Chairman of Ch Puttu, and Yousaf Parray were prominent attendees.
