GANDERBAL POLICE ARRESTED A NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER ALONG WITH PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCE AS PART OF THEIR CONTINUATION OF THE WAR AGAINST DRUGS.
GANDERBAL, 20 JULY 2023: In the territory of PS Ganderbal, a notorious drug dealer and contraband substance were detained on the orders of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, and under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal.
Najeeb Hasan S/O Lt Gh. Hasan R/O Saloora Ganderbal was arrested by a Special Police Team under the direction of SHO PS Ganderbal while on patrol at the Rampora crossing. He was found to be in possession of Psychotropic Substance 04 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate & Etadol-100 16 Strips (160 Tablets) during his personal search. On the spot, the contraband substance was found and the accused was taken into custody. It is important to note that the NDPS Act was earlier recorded at Police Station Ganderbal against the aforementioned accused in the year 2020.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 208/2023 has been opened at PS Ganderbal and has been registered in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
Ganderbal Police appeals to the general people to come forward and provide information about drug trafficking in the community and assist J&K Police in battling the serious drug threat.
The fight against narcotics must continue in order to rid the district of drugs.
