December 23, Srinagar : Imran Raza Ansari, the general secretary of the People’s Conference, said on Saturday that the horrific deaths of three people in Poonch call for widespread condemnation and that a more thorough investigation is necessary to determine the truth. He said that striking a balance between the defense of human rights and security measures is essential.
“The terrible event that claimed the lives of three citizens in the Poonch area is one that has to be condemned by all of us. We are very saddened by the loss of innocent lives and join forces to demand that the victims get justice. On the microblogging platform X, he said, “The circumstances surrounding their deaths, which occurred just hours after being detained by the army, are alarming & warrant a thorough, transparent investigation.”
“The seriousness of the situation is increased by the collateral injuries that seven other detained villagers have sustained,” he said. To find out the truth, a thorough investigation must be carried out, and those at fault must face legal consequences. It is crucial to strike a compromise between the preservation of human rights and security measures after a significant terrorist assault on the army.
