In Handwara, a bear attacked and wounded a man

Kupwara, September 2: Late on Saturday, a senior citizen working in his kitchen garden in Lawoosa village in the Kupwara region of north Kashmir was attacked by a black bear, who left him with injuries.

The wounded guy was sent right away to District Hospital Handwara, where medical personnel provided him with first care before referring him to GMC Baramulla.

The wounded person has been identified as Lawoosa Mawer inhabitant Mohammad Sultan Shiekh (60).

People are alarmed by the wild animals’ regular incursions into populated areas. People from all throughout the area have urged the government to take immediate action to stop any such assaults.
