Srinagar, September 2: Royal Goodwill CC won by 6 wickets in a thrilling first match of the Akash Byju’s Jammu & Kashmir Premier League (JKPL).

Spectrum Kings scored 142/10 in 19.1 overs while batting first. Amir Mir received a 36. Faizan picked up 4 wickets for Royal Goodwill, scoring just 23 runs. Faizan delivered the game’s most impressive performance, earning him the title of Man of the Match.

In response, Royal Goodwill knocked down the mark in 11.4 overs while only losing 4 wickets. Ishtiyaq Rasool and Omais Itoo both scored 38 and 31 runs, respectively. Faizan was later named the game’s MVP.

At Akash Byju’s JKPL Season 2 second game of the day, the enthusiasm persisted. Cemtac defeated Birch Blasters by a slim margin of 121 runs. In recognition of his all-around effort, which included scoring 31 runs and taking 4 wickets, Abid Nabi was named man of the match. Nasir Bashir added 71 runs of his own.
