December 1, Jammu The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed an appeal with the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday, challenging the Principal and Sessions Judge’s decision to grant interim bail to Chowdhary Lal Singh, the former minister and chairman of the Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party, in connection with a money laundering case.

The R B Educational Trust (RBET), which is led by Kanta Andotra, the wife of Choudhary Lal Singh and the chairwoman of the organization, has immovable assets estimated at Rs 1.21 crore that the ED had attached on November 28.

“Kanta Andotra and Ravinder Singh, the former Patwari, were named in the FIR and chargesheet filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), CBI Jammu, regarding the transfer of land measuring 167 Kanal and 15 Marlas, valued at Rs 1,21,80,500 as per circle rate in 2011,” according to official sources, who started the ED’s investigation.
