29 August, Ramban: Volunteers from Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM), Zone Batote are cleaning up the area around Patnitop in preparation for tomorrow’s Mega Blood Donation Camp.
A news statement claims that the drive, organised by Mulkhraj Bhagat, Zonal Head of the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), took place from Patnitop to the surrounding area including Padora.
It was spearheaded by Rajeshwar Bhagat, the chairman of the Block Development Council (BDC) in Batote, who also happens to be a devotee of the SNM.
From Patnitop to Padora, volunteers used the PDA truck to collect all of the trash they found in the meadows and along the circular roads.
The SNM members gathered for a prayer gathering and a solemn pledge before beginning the sanitation effort.
