New Delhi, March 23: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be visiting the Siachen glacier to celebrate Holi with troops stationed there as a show of support for the soldiers fighting at the world’s highest battlefield.
The Siachen glacier is one of the world’s most difficult terrains and a vital military station.
The Minister is now being prepared for his visit.
Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit the military base once again.
He had traveled to Siachen in 2019. He assured them of the government’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare and safety of soldiers there by interacting with them and gaining firsthand insight into their experiences and problems.
The Union Minister has already declared that the glacier is accessible to tourists.
