December 13, Srinagar: SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Pal Singh and other traffic officers started a large-scale campaign to enforce traffic laws along the Srinagar–Baramulla route.

A number of offenders were booked for various traffic infractions throughout the journey, according to an official statement. These included overloading, speeding, driving without a seat belt, riding a two-wheeler without a helmet, and not having the proper documentation.

Drivers and commuters received on-the-spot counseling and awareness training to ensure they followed traffic regulations.

Reducing traffic accidents and deaths is the goal, according to SSP Traffic Rural, who also declared that overloading of any kind—whether it be with people or goods—will not be tolerated.
