Muhammad Qais, a sixth-grade student from DPS Budgam, won the gold medal in the national lawn tennis competition run by the National Lawn Tennis Federation of India on September 5 in Srinagar.
A statement said that Gujarat recently hosted the competition. The eleven-year-old youngster has so far taken home a number of medals from competitions held at the district, state, and national levels.
It was said that there is little question that Qais would leave his imprint on the tennis courts given his style of footwork, endurance, and pulling strokes. The school supports all of the aspiring athletes.
The DPS Budgam games section is always on the hunt for such burgeoning potential. According to the statement, school policy “always supports” such students as they “launch themselves higher in the realm of realising their dreams.”
