Budgam: Within two days of receiving a complaint, Budgam police solved a burglary case by detaining three alleged perpetrators and recovering stolen stuff from their hands.
The proprietor of MB Traders filed a written complaint with Police Station Magam on September 20 alleging that several robbers broke into his office at Agrikalan Magam during the previous night of September 19–20 and stole cigarette cartons worth Rs 5 lakh.
As a result, a complaint was filed at PS Magam with FIR No. 144/2023 and an investigation was started in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
Three suspects were identified as Mohd Yaseen Hajam @Cobra of Trikolbal Pattan, Javid Ahmad Sheikh of Churpora Narbal, and Muzaffar Ahmad Dar of Reshipora Hanjivera Pattan over the course of the inquiry following intense efforts. They confessed to participating in criminal activity while being questioned, and upon disclosure, stolen items were also found. They have been detained in the police station since their arrest and transfer. The matter is currently being probed further.
