Kulgam: Police on Sunday said that the arrest of five LeT hybrid terrorists in the Kulgam area of south Kashmir broke up a terrorist cell.
According to the police, Kulgam police, 1RR, 9RR, 18 Bn CRPF, and 46 BN CRPF busted two terrorist modules and arrested five hybrid terrorists with weapons and ammunition, including two pistols, three hand grenades, one UBGL, pistol magazine 2, pistol rounds 12, and 21 rounds for the AK-47.
According to a statement, two cases have been lodged in this respect with FIR Nos. 62/2023 at Police Station Qaimoh and 167/2023 under the appropriate legal provisions, and additional investigations have been launched in both instances.
Aadil Hussain Wani, a Poniwah resident; Suhail Ahmad Dar, a Bugam resident; Aitmad Ahmad Laway, a Brazilian Jageer resident; Mehraj Ahmad Lone, a Hawoora resident; and Sabzar Ahmad Khaar, a Ghat Redwani Payeen resident, among the people who have been detained.
