New Delhi : Highway toll plazas usually have lengthy lines. This congestion delays travellers. Although FASTag has reduced the average time spent at the toll plaza, the government will soon install a specific technology to eliminate the annoyance of stopping at the toll. This prevents toll plaza traffic jams.

On Friday, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari told the Rajya Sabha that the average toll plaza wait time had decreased. The average waiting time is currently 47 seconds, down from 734. After FASTag was installed on the National Highway, toll plazas collected more.

Relief from FASTag installation

FASTag has reduced toll plaza wait times, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Before FASTag, automobiles took 734 seconds, but today they take 47 seconds, according to an NHAI study.
