November 6, Srinagar: In order to allow for necessary construction work, authorities have ordered a four-hour traffic suspension on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Wednesday.
The District Administration of Ramban has issued a suspension order that would allow girders to be launched at the Nashri Viaduct, a vital infrastructure development project.
The order, issued by Additional Deputy Magistrate Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma, said that the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, NHWs (National Highway), Ramban, and the Project Director, NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), PIU (Project Implementation Unit), Ramban, had recommended stopping traffic. Keeping everyone safe and healthy—including drivers, passengers, and the general public—is the main goal.
On November 8, 2023, from 0000 hours to 0400 hours, traffic will be suspended. For the safe launching of girders at the Nashri Viaduct, this brief stop is necessary. During this building operation, all terms and safety precautions must be properly followed.
To ensure that the traffic suspension is carried out without a hitch, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, NHWs, Ramban, will carry out the order.
