Baramulla, 23 July: Police in Baramulla have detained two people and confiscated two tractors as part of a rigorous enforcement effort against those engaged in the unlawful mining and transportation of minerals.
Two tractors were confiscated and two drivers were detained for their participation in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals at Ferozpora Nallah Tangmarg by a police team led by SDPO Tangmarg Imtiaz Ahmed with assistance from SHO PS Tangmarg. They have been identified as Fajipora Tangmarg residents Arshed Ahmad War and Abdul Rashid Dar.
As a result, a case has been filed at Police Station Tangmarg under the appropriate legal provisions, and an investigation has begun.
“Persons engaged in unlawful extraction operations will be dealt with in accordance with the law. Residents are urged to contact the relevant police units in their area with information on crimes there, according to the police.
