Srinagar, December 27: Athar Aamir Khan, CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), gave a status report on the Shalimar Canal project’s development on Wednesday. The project is a significant endeavor that falls within the larger purview of the Srinagar Smart City program. Khan said that the project is moving forward quickly at the moment and that he is hopeful that it will be finished on schedule.

The full-scale efforts demonstrate SSCL’s commitment to achieving the goals of the Srinagar Smart City plan and demonstrate the organization’s will to complete important urban development projects for the community’s benefit.

Athar Aamir Khan emphasized the importance of the Shalimar Canal in establishing a connection between Shalimar Garden and Dal Lake via the newly constructed Northern Lake Front, according to news agency KNS.

He said that he was happy with the current rate of construction and that the project is moving forward at full speed.

“A key element of our commitment to improving Srinagar’s urban infrastructure as part of the Smart City concept is the Shalimar Canal project. Commissioner Athar Khan said, “This canal will improve connectivity between two iconic locations, Shalimar Garden and Dal Lake, in addition to serving as a picturesque waterway.”

He went on to discuss the technical details of the project in more detail, stressing that careful preparation has been done to guarantee environmental sustainability and reduce any possible effects on the neighboring communities.

The canal’s path across the recently constructed Northern Lake Front was thoughtfully selected to blend in with the surrounding scenery and maintain the area’s natural attractiveness. Our goal is to create a long-lasting asset that benefits the city and its citizens, not merely finish the project quickly,” Khan said.

“Our teams are working diligently, and I am pleased to announce that we are on track to finish the Shalimar Canal project within the next couple of months,” CEO Athar Khan said, expressing confidence over the completion timetable. This demonstrates the commitment and teamwork of all those working on this project.

The goal of the Srinagar Smart City program is to develop Srinagar into a technologically sophisticated, environmentally conscious, and hospitable urban hub. The Shalimar Canal project fits in with this goal.

As the development continues, the people of Srinagar are becoming more and more excited about the fulfillment of this revolutionary project, which promises better infrastructure as well as an improved standard of living.
