Srinagar, Spe 6: A workshop on design thinking was organised in partnership with the college’s incubation and innovation centre in a historic development for Islamia College.

According to a statement, problems with corporate governance are becoming more prevalent in modern culture. The event, the first of its type to be hosted at Islamia College, aims to bring together key startup stakeholders to discuss the problems and opportunities facing the sector.

According to the statement, the workshop’s main objective was to help students take advantage of possibilities in the fields of industry, innovation, education, skill development, and other forms of entrepreneurship. This workshop’s main goal was to conduct on-the-spot discussions about what stakeholders and entrepreneurs should anticipate. Participants from a range of companies, corporate executives, and academics discussed a number of problems involved in building a sustainable startup environment.

Dr. Nasreen Chesti, dean of commerce and management studies, presided over the session. Dr. Zahoor A. Chat, coordinator of the college incubator and innovation centre, officially announced the workshop’s subject. The workshop was officially opened by the college’s principal, Professor (Dr.) Khursheed A. Khan, who also greeted the guest speakers and made a short opening sermon on the importance of such encounters in the current situation.

Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairman, IIM, Jammu, Srinagar Campus, raised a number of issues during the workshop discussion, including the organisational structure of businesses in J&K.

With the appropriate financial and legal interventions, he said, “the enterprises may be scaled up to the national and global levels.”

He provided instructors and students with information on how to assess their problem-solving abilities. Dr. Dinesh Kumar from NIT Srinagar offered the students lasting assignments to help them hone their Design Thinking abilities. In his lecture, Commonwealth Scholar Muzamil Farooq enlightened the audience on design thinking by using extensive case studies of successful applications. Participants and students may debate and comprehend design thinking on a platform provided by Shahrukh Mushtaq, a former incubation director at NIT Srinagar. Aaban Malik and Habibullah Malik told the kids about their experiences using design thinking to succeed. Prof. Sajad Sarvar, of the PG Department of Zoology, gave a formal Vote of Thanks. The College’s students and staff responded in a resoundingly positive manner.
