Srinagar, June 18: Hot and dry weather is expected to last until June 23. On Sunday, most areas in Jammu and Kashmir saw nighttime temperatures rise and settle above usual.

He said that the lowest temperature in Pahalgam was 8.6°C, compared to 9.4°C the night before. This was 0.1°C warmer than usual for the famous tourist town in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

He said that the temperature settled at 13.6°C in Kupwara town instead of 12.2°C the night before, which was 0.4°C above average for the north Kashmir area.

Katra’s was 24.8°C, which was 2.7°C above normal, and Bhaderwah’s was 14.6°C, which was 0.9°C above normal. He said that the lowest temperatures in Leh and Kargil, both in Ladakh, were 6.9°C and 12.5°C, respectively.
