Jammu, June 9: Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar was inspected by Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa of Jammu to ensure that Amarnath yatris had a pleasant stay.

A spokesperson for the government said in a statement that she also called a meeting of top officials from relevant agencies to discuss the plans.

As a first step, the Deputy Commissioner checked in on the setup of tatkal registration stations.

Accommodation, barricading, security precautions, wi-fi and other amenities, electricity and water supply, etc., were all mentioned by the Deputy Commissioner as necessities near the Registration Counters.

At the discussion, participants also spoke about improving these service points’ sanitation, hygiene, and access to medical care.

Prior to the start of Yatra, the Deputy Commissioner assigned specific responsibilities to top officials from several departments to guarantee the event’s smooth running.

Senior authorities from the relevant agencies, including the SSP of Jammu, Chandan Kohli, and the ADC ADM, Sandeep Seointra, were present at the meeting.
