Arif Laigaroo is opposed to the installation of smart metres and criticises the idea

PDP politician and constituency incharge for Habba Kadal, Arif Laigroo, blasted the government for installing smart-cum-prepaid metres in Srinagar on June 26. Laigroo is also in charge of the Habba Kadal constituency.

Arif Laigroo, in response to the demonstrations against the installation of smart metres in Habba Kadal and other parts of Srinagar, issued a statement in which he claimed, “There is no administration on ground to hear the scream of the people.

People have been opposing the installation of smart metres for some time now, but those in charge of the situation don’t seem to be disturbed at all by the uproar.
