Armed and dangerous man captured in Baramulla

Kreeri police have filed a complaint under the Indian Arms Act and the Unlawful Light Arms and Ammunition (Prohibition) Act.

Baramulla, 5 July: A cordon and search operation in the hamlet of Kreeri in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir resulted in the arrest of a man and the seizure of weapons and ammunition.

According to a source quoted by the news cordon and search operation including the police, the 52nd Rashtriya Rifles, and the 2nd Bn SSB was conducted in the Kreeri hamlet of Nowpura Jagir after receiving specific information.

A guy who had been trying to elude the CASO was reportedly captured during the operation along with a weapon, magazine, and three live bullets.

He has been named as Mohammed Sadiq Lone, a resident of Nowpora Jagir and the son of Mohammed Ramzan Lone.

According to the source, police in Kreeri have started an inquiry after filing a complaint under the Indian Arms Act and the Unlawful Possession of Arms (Penal Code) Act.
