Kargil, Ladakh, struck by a 4.7-magnitude earthquake

The National Centre for Seismology reported on Tuesday, July 4 that a 4.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kargil area of Ladakh.

The seismology centre noted that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 150 km at a latitude of 38.12 degrees and a longitude of 76.82 degrees in the earthquake-prone Himalayan area.

However, no injuries or property loss were reported.
