Kashmir's armed forces enthusiastically observe International Yoga Day

Srinagar, 21 June: In accordance with the spirit of Yoga Day 2023’s theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam,” the 9th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with full enthusiasm and gusto at various locations in Kashmir, with the primary objective to promote Yoga as a holistic practise for mental and physical wellbeing.

The Indian Army, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense’s Public Relations Office (PRO), has been holding yoga sessions for its personnel stationed in remote areas where they must endure harsh climate and terrain.

The Navyug Tunnel, Kaman Setu, and Haiderbaig were among the notable locations where yoga was practised.

The Indian Army wasn’t the only group that helped make the event a success in Kashmir; the civil authorities and the local population pitched in as well.

The event’s smooth execution over the whole Kashmir Valley shows how committed locals are to preserving the region’s tranquilly and presents a vision of “Naya Kashmir” to the outside world.
