When police in Budgam saw something suspicious, they opened fire

Wednesday, June 14, police in Srinagar said they fired some shots into the air after seeing suspicious behaviour inside a Waggon R truck near a court building in the Budgam district of central Kashmir.

In a document given to GNS, the police said that during a night search near the court building in Budgam, they saw a stopped Waggon R car with some strange activity going on inside. When they got close to the car, the people inside tried to run away, so the security team fired warning shots into the air.

Later, it was found that both people had been drinking. The statement says that both of them have been held for medical and court procedures.
