Dec 20, Awantipora: CIED-IUST, the Center for Career Counseling and Placement, and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at IUST collaborated to host a one-day program named “Crafting Your Path: Career Development and Content Writing in the Social Media Landscape.” The goal of the session was to educate students on the newest fields in social media content production as well as potential career paths in both fields.
Dr. Mujeeb Liyakat, the HoD of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at IUST, focused on the theoretical elements of content production in cyberspace and discussed successful career development techniques in the context of the digital revolution.
Speaking on networking, personal branding, and professional development in social media settings, Dr. Monisa Qadiri discussed the plethora of job prospects in the field of social media.
The students were given a briefing on career planning, professional networking, and job dynamics by Drs. Arif Nadaf and Sayar Ahmad. Students and academics from the department attended the program.
