According to Dr. Tabasum Jabeen, the department plans to reach its goal of immunising one lakh youngsters during the third phase, which will last six days. “In addition to the pregnant women who were either partly or never immunised, we have vaccinated more than 70000 youngsters. The goal of immunising 1 lakh youngsters will soon be accomplished, she added.

The director introduced the campaign by stating that Mission Indradhanush 5.0 is a vaccination programme designed to protect all children and expectant mothers who are unvaccinated or just partly vaccinated.

She said that the campaign’s main goal is to make sure that every youngster obtains necessary vaccinations. By guaranteeing that every kid under the age of five has received both doses of the Measles and Rubella Containing Vaccine (MRCV), the project is also meant to be the major step towards Measles and Rubella eradication in the nation.

The programme is now completely supported by the U-WIN site, according to the director, who said that all entries, including registration, vaccination, and creation of digital immunisation certificates, would be made by inputting the recipients’ phone numbers. She said that this would aid both medical personnel and the parents of the youngsters in understanding their recommended dosages.

According to her, this feature would provide health professionals access to a digital due list, and each beneficiary will get an SMS warning reminding them to take their next dosage as scheduled and acknowledging it. This guarantees accurate beneficiary tracking, including for pregnant women and children ages 0 to 5.

After the children are registered for the first dosage, according to Dr. Tabasum Jabeen, they would be able to give the second dose anywhere in the nation by producing their cellphone number or Aadhar number.

She also praised the health professionals for their hard work and gave them the order to activate all of the vaccine dispensers in order to complete 100% of the vaccinations.

Relevantly, the program’s first phase debuted in August, while the second phase debuted in September.
