Baramulla, Dec. 11: Vengeful residents of the Hygam neighborhood in the Baramulla district held a protest on Monday along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway, claiming a dealer had tricked them into purchasing “faulty” geysers.
According to the complaints, a local firm stated that geysers were on sale for 75% less and guaranteed to last.
All the same, the locals said that the geysers malfunctioned, which is why they protested the supposed fraud.
Tehsildar Khoie Zeeshan Khurshid arrived on the scene immediately after the protest and promised swift action against the store.
Following that, the Tehsildar stopped the exit until the investigation was over. The best course of action, he stated, is to contact the legal authorities rather than enforcing lawlessness on one’s own, while advising the protestors not to irritate ordinary people by limiting vehicle traffic.
Tehsildar Khoie asked the people to contact the appropriate authorities if there is a problem of this kind rather than put on a demonstration.
