The Indian Air Force, in cooperation with the government of Jammu and Kashmir, has organised an air show and ground display at Air Force Station Jammu from September 21 to September 23 to mark the 76th anniversary of J&K’s admission into the Indian Union and the diamond jubilee of the base.

“IAF Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT), Aakashganga Daredevil Skydiving Team, Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT), Mi-17 1V Helicopters, and the Air Force Band participated in the two day marquee event,” a defence release stated.

Residents, students from different Jammu schools, veterans, public dignitaries, and members of the Defence Forces and CAPFs all saw the spectacle.The event started off with a fascinating free fall performance by the Akashganga Daredevil Skydiving Team, who plunged while carrying the Indian and IAF flags, captivating the large crowd.

The 14-member Indian Air Force Akash Ganga sky diving team touched down to the applause of a sizable crowd who were actively taking part in the event, according to the statement.The IAF Garuda Commando squad used Mi-17 1V Medium Lift Helicopters to demonstrate slithering and Small squad Insertion and Extraction tactics after the exercise. The crowd enthusiastically cheered when the Suryakiran Aerobatic team lifted off simultaneously for an aerial spectacle.

The Air Warrior Drill Team “Subroto” (AWDT) displayed precise drill moves as the tournament came to a close. The exhibition displayed the operational prowess of the Indian Air Force with the purpose of motivating youngsters to join the elite force, according to the statement, and was particularly captivating for the spectators as the commander marched through spinning weaponry.
