Arrest of a Sopore-area drug dealer

On August 29 in Srinagar, police made an arrest in Sopore and found a quantity of a psychotropic narcotic.

According to a news statement, the drug dealer was apprehended by a police detachment from Police Post Putkha at a checkpoint set up at Wagub Crossing. He was recognised as Danish Rajab Mir, a native of Nigeen Bagh Sopore and the son of Muhammad Rajab Mir. The search of his belongings led to the discovery of 308 illegal capsules. He is now being held at the local police station.

In light of this, the Tarzoo Police Department has opened an inquiry and filed FIR No. 85/2023 under the applicable laws.
