August 30th, Rajouri Here in the Tanda Kangri region of Block Sunderbani, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal successfully conducted a public outreach programme as part of the Weekly Block Diwas campaign to improve efficient administration and speedy resolution of concerns.

Residents and their representatives were given a powerful forum to discuss issues such as road upkeep, more government staffing, better water and healthcare facilities, and more. During the event, government representatives informed people about programmes they encouraged them to take advantage of.

During his speech, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal reaffirmed the government’s commitment to provide basic services to the people. He praised the participation of stakeholders and promised the public that every effort would be made to achieve the goal. He advocated for a persistent dedication to public service. The Deputy Commissioner further reassured the public that their concerns had been heard and that the relevant agencies will move swiftly to resolve legitimate complaints. Several concerns were resolved then and then as immediate directions were given to prioritise and address them.

The Deputy Commissioner promised that all homes in the area will have access to running water. He reassured the public that the government’s ambitious goal would be achieved via the Jal Jeevan Mission, a wide-ranging programme to provide a steady supply of water. He gave orders for EXEN Jal Shakti to interact with citizens and solve their problems as soon as possible. The Deputy Commissioner has ordered the EXEN PDD to take swift action for transformer upgrade in response to the pressing demand for more reliable electricity. He pleaded for everyone involved to do their part in getting the job done on schedule.

The Deputy Commissioner declared the highest objective for Panchayat Kangri under the PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin) and Awas Plus programmes.

The Deputy Commissioner closed the event by calling for continued improvement and cooperation amongst all parties involved in order to better the lives of local citizens. Residents of Tanda Kangri were very thankful of the administration’s commitment to problem solving, which was on display during the block’s successful Weekly Block Diwas.

In recent years, Block Diwas have gained prominence as a unique venue for open communication between residents and local officials, leading to increased levels of citizen satisfaction as complaints are heard and resolved in a timely manner.
