Poonch, August 30: Today, District Development Commissioner Yasin MChoudhary of Poonch toured the Mandi township to assess the progress being made on the town’s infrastructural projects.

Several other officials, including the BDO of Mandi, the AE of Mandi, Sadam Hussain, the Tehsildar of Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan, and the TSWO, Azam Rather, followed the Deputy Commissioner.

The purpose of the trip was to inspect the progress made on the freshly built Bituminous macadam, the pucca drain, and the JKPCC bridge bypass road.

The Deputy Commissioner took his time inspecting the 1700-meter stretch of Bituminous macadam construction. The Deputy Commissioner was pleased with the work’s quality and emphasised its significance in enhancing Mandi town’s overall infrastructure.

Deputy Poonch didn’t only check out the Bituminous macadam; he also looked over the pucca drain being built in Mandi town. With this drain in place, waterlogging should be less of a concern, and the region should be cleaner and healthier as a result.

The DDC also inspected the 460-meter long bypass road that was built over the JKPCC bridge during their visit. The public has just lately gained access to this precisely designed project, which will hopefully alleviate some of the traffic problems that have long plagued the Mandi bazaar district.

DDC Poonch also checked out the charming selfie spot that was set up next to the new bridge. As a symbol of the Deputy Commissioner’s dedication to boosting tourism and community pride, the board features a heartwarming message.
