Ganderbal, Nov. 9: On the evening of November 8 and 9, a fire in the Beehama neighborhood of the Ganderbal region of central Kashmir entirely destroyed a private home.

Residents said that during the intervening nights of November 8 and 9, a fire started in Muhammad Amin Mir’s Beehama home and quickly spread across the whole building. Soon after the occurrence, fire fighters, residents, and police arrived at the scene and attempted to put out the fires, but the property had sustained significant damage. Firefighters eventually contained the fire and prevented it from spreading.
Property valued at lakhs was destroyed in the fire event, including clothing, kitchenware, and other home items.

Tehsildar Ganderbal, SHO Ganderbal, and a revenue team visited the area on Thursday morning and gave the affected families assurances of administrative aid.

The government has been requested by the locals to provide the families devastated by the fire with swift help and rehabilitation. Additionally, former Ganderbal Ishfaq Jabbar MLA visited the family devastated by the fire and promised assistance.
