Ganderbal, July 21: On Friday morning, flash floods and mud slides were caused by heavy rainfall in the Kangan district’s Khanan village of Kashmir.

In Khanan village, the Friday’s torrential downpour led to mudslides and flash floods that ruined roadways and standing crops. The residents claimed that the region was flooded as a result of a breach in one of the irrigation canals that runs through it. However, no one died as a result of the incident. The administration has been encouraged by the locals to take action and fix the road so that no one has to suffer. Additionally, they encouraged the administration to determine the extent of the flash flood damage and take appropriate action.
