SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 19: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha presided over a meeting today to assess the district of Ganderbal’s development status.

The Lt. Governor assessed current projects and the rollout of Central and UT Schemes in the Ganderbal District.

The Lt Governor said that private parties are important participants in any region’s economic development. He requested that the district government help prospective investors by way of the Industry Help Centre and help locals build up cold storage facilities.

The Lt. Governor gave the officials instructions to make sure that the district’s young are involved in the government’s self-employment and livelihood creation plans and programmes in light of the developments under different youth-oriented and employment generation programmes.

He suggested that a thorough district employment plan be put into action.

For the local population to experience economic progress, the tourism industry is crucial. The Lt Governor suggested that every option be looked into in order to make Sonamarg accessible to visitors all year round.

According to him, a major aspect in restoring prosperity to agricultural families’ lives would be the efficient execution of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme and development of cooperatives.

The Lt. Governor evaluated how the district’s Atal Tinkering laboratories were operating and what was being done there, and she gave instructions for providing pupils with the required assistance.

The Lt. Governor gave instructions to the administrative and medical staff to develop an action plan and a mission strategy for a Ganderbal free of tuberculosis.

Additionally, he gave instructions for the effective execution of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and the Ayushman Bhav Campaign.

ODOP Ganderbal (Willow wicker), the District Industries Centre in Ganderbal, the Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan, and other programmes and initiatives were all included in Sh Shyambir’s review as the deputy commissioner of Ganderbal.

Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the chief secretary, Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, the principal secretary to the lieutenant governor, Ms. Nuzhat Ishfaq, the DDC chairperson for Ganderbal, Sh. Vijay Bidhuri, the divisional commissioner for Kashmir, and other top authorities were present at the meeting.
