The Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road is not only a major thoroughfare for traffic, but it is also the quickest way to reach the picturesque Kashmir Valley. At Bafliaz in the Poonch district, this route meets the venerable Mughal route. It acts as a vital channel for hundreds of travellers, cars, and trucks heading to and from the Kashmir Valley, connecting Jammu with other regions of the nation.

The Deputy Commissioner acted right away after seeing the value of this route in easing the flow of people and commodities. In accordance with his instructions, a thorough evaluation was performed, including peg marking and the start of earth-cutting activity in line with the road’s extension plan.

The current project intends to widen the existing route to two lanes, thereby decreasing traffic congestion and significantly cutting commuter travel time. This renovation will improve the region’s connection, promoting tourism, economic development, and easier travel for everyone.

The focused efforts of the responsible authorities and the pro-active attitude of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, show a dedication to improving the infrastructure necessary for the growth and prosperity of the area. The smoother and more effective connection that will be ensured as a result of this effort will benefit both locals and tourists to the Pir Panjal area by improving their general well-being and convenience.
