Kupwara, Nov. 9: The District Environment Committee met on Thursday at the DC Office Complex’s Mini-Meeting Hall to discuss the creation of the District Environment Plan. The meeting was presided over by Altaf Ahmad Khan, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, per the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara.
The proposed district environment plan for each of the line departments was thoroughly examined by the ADDC Kupwara.
The environmental plan, which includes plans for solid waste management, water quality management, domestic sewage, industrial waste water management, air quality management, mining activity management, and noise pollution management, was thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
The ADDC Kupwara instructed all responsible personnel to make sure that the government’s guidelines for the scientific disposal of solid and liquid waste are strictly followed and to prevent the use of polythene in the district’s three municipalities.
He requested that the relevant officials work quickly to prepare the strategy in a sustainable manner.
