Aaqib did his schooling from different schools in Srinagar till 10th grade, then decided to opt for B.COM and graduated from Govt degree college Bemina Srinagar. My goal or motive was clear about my career, and I wanted to be a career coach or counsellor, so I chose MBA and completed my Master’s in MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) from the University of Kashmir, he added.

Aaqib Parray, while talking to the Daily Sahara Times, said that he has so far organised a number of events in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir to make people aware of the negative impacts of drug abuse or menace. Aaqib is working in multiple fields like journalism, social work, anchoring, and as a career counsellor.

“At the age of 19, when I was a student in the 12th grade, I was planning to do something for society but didn’t know how to do it. As time passed, reasons dawned upon me as to why not create a page through which I could reach more and more people and do something for those who were financially weak. Then I started my own page by the name of “Helping Hands J&K” to serve the people. In 2020, I started my journey with the “Roznama Wadi Kashmir” newspaper as bureau chief in Srinagar. On April 28, 2020, I went to Delhi for further studies (a certification course) in career counselling and finished that programme in 9 months. In the month of March 2021, I joined as a counsellor at a well-reputed multinational rganization. In the beginning, I got little response from people, but as time passed, I witnessed tremendous response from people,” said Aaqib.

Aaqib Parray is a multitasking person

“Moreover, Parray said he has also organized various seminars regarding “bridging the gap between academics and the corporate” in different colleges and campuses, so students can analyze their career and choose the way in which they are interested.

“More than 73 percent of students in our valley do not have a clear understanding of their career goals. They are genuinely more concerned with their academics than with their careers. There is a vast chasm between education and employment, and very few pupils in our valley have a clear vision for their future. Aaqib stated, “Every student must begin contemplating the future and analyzing their weaknesses, threats, strengths, and opportunities in order to design a well-structured plan for their future.”
