Srinagar, December 23, (KNS): On Saturday, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq conveyed his profound remorse and sadness at the reported deaths of three people in Poonch district subsequent to a confrontation.
In a statement sent to KNS, he urged that the relevant authorities should look into this situation in great detail and hold those responsible accountable.

Mirwaiz expressed his sorrow for the loss of innocent lives on both sides and his condemnation of the violence that has been occurring in J&K for decades and seems to have no end in sight.
He claimed to have often supported the idea of exploring dialogue and engagement as a workable, peaceful way to settle disputes and stop the loss of human life.
