New Delhi: In relation to the cash-for-query accusation against her, the Lok Sabha’s Ethics Committee has called Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra to appear before it on October 31.

The Ethics Committee, led by Vinod Sonkar, heard testimony from BJP leader Nishikant Dubey on Thursday. Dubey had previously filed a complaint against Mahua Moitra with the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla, has sent the issue to the Ethics Committee for review.

Due to accusations made against Mahua Moitra of receiving “cash for Parliament questions,” the panel had called Dubey and the attorney.
