Srinagar, Nov. 1: In recognition of their contributions to the department, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has approved a retirement gift of rupees 89 lakh for 89 J&K Police officers who retired on October 31 after reaching superannuation or choosing to leave their jobs voluntarily.

Sanctions have been granted in favour of five gazetted officials, 65 non-gazetted officers, and 19 lesser subordinates under PHQ Jammu and Kashmir order No. 3046 of 2023. The staff members are drawn from several departments and divisions.

Police officers are allowed to receive retirement gifts from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of retirement, valued at one lakh rupees apiece. The present is given as a thank you for the services you have provided to the department.
