Airport personnel extended a warm welcome to the Hajjis.

18 July, Srinagar: On Tuesday, when the Hajj trip completed, the first group of pilgrims landed at Srinagar Airport.

According to reports, authorities began greeting the first planes as they arrived at the airport early that morning. There might be as many as 630 Hajjis returning home today.

Hajj flights from Saudi Arabia to Srinagar would continue till August 2, according to reports.

J&K Haj Committee Chairman Shujaat Ahmed Qureshi assured pilgrims that all necessary preparations had been completed for the arrival of Hajj planes.

About 12,067 pilgrims (6,698 males and 5,369 women) have already gone for the holy pilgrimage as of October. This year, 111 women completed the Hajj without the accompaniment of a Mahram.
