Jammu, September 27: To encourage healthy competition among female golfers, Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) held a “Women Putting Competition” on the occasion of World Tourism Day on Wednesday.


According to a press release, several female players showed up to the tournament full of energy and determination. Akita Sethi won the competition because of her impressive abilities, while Shraddha Gupta came in second. Sunita Anand took home third place.

The event’s primary guest, Manav Gupta, secretary of the Jammu Tawi Golf Course, said that the putting challenge was a creative method to encourage women to play golf and develop local talent. He promised that ongoing efforts had been made to make golf more well-known in Jammu and that such tournaments would be held often. According to him, golf has the potential to become a sport where women and girls are encouraged to play, welcomed with open arms at all stages, and trained to reach their full potential.

Mubassir Latifi, Rakesh Dubey, Aijaz Qaiser, Vijay Saraf, Raman Pargotra, Sourav Sethi, S. S. Pathania, and Ajay Anand were among the many famous golfers there.

There were a number of sports fans and professionals there, including Rohit Gupta, a licenced professional coach from the National Golf Academy of India (NGAI).
