Two officers’ salaries were withheld at Sopore due to their absence from work

Sopore, Nov. 10: Because of their absence from work, Sopore authorities ruled on Friday that two senior Fisheries Department officers have one day’s pay deducted.

Assistant Director of Fisheries Ghulam Jeelani and his senior assistant Suraya Bano were ordered by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shabir Ahmad Raina to forfeit one day’s pay for being away from work without permission, according to an official.
He stated that today’s unexpected inspection took place at the Assistant Director’s office in the Baramulla headquarters in Sopore by the Tehsildar.

The official assured them that the district Red Cross fund in Baramulla would get the wage deduction and that their absence had been handled seriously.
