On July 24th, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYS&S) Baramulla officials reiterated their firm commitment to encouraging kids to participate in and enjoy a wide variety of sports.
Boys and girls aged 14 to 17 competed today in a wide range of sporting events in four different zones: Dangerpora, Sopore, Nehalpora, and Chandoosa.
Volleyball, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi were the three thrilling sports during the contests, exhibiting the wide range of physical abilities among the young competitors.
There was a lot of goodwill and sportsmanship in the air as kids from different schools competed for the top spot. Thousands of kids participated in the interscholastic sports contests, showing an enormous interest in the event. Their infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to their sports left an indelible effect on everyone there.
Speaking at the event, Jatinder Singh, the District Youth Services and Sports Officer for Baramulla, thanked all the schools, participants and pitch staff who made the day such a huge success, and announced that the winners and outstanding performers from each zone would advance to the district level of sports competitions.
