Pulwama: a decomposing corpse was discovered there

Srinagar, June 8: On Wednesday night, authorities in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir discovered a badly decomposed corpse in a hamlet in the Awantipora region.

It was stated by the news outlet Kashmir News Observer (KNO), citing an official, that the corpse was discovered by passing residents of the hamlet of Barsoo.

He said that shortly afterwards police officers arrived and removed the corpse to a nearby hospital for the completion of necessary medico-legal procedures.

He further said that additional inquiry had been initiated and that the corpse had been transferred to a mortuary for identification.
